Genre

These are the broad categories into which fan fiction is traditionally divided:

• Gen: Story is suitable for general audiences, does not feature sexual situations.
• Het: Story features an opposite-sex romantic or sexual relationship. May or may not be explicit; see rating.
• Slash: Story features a same-sex romantic or sexual relationship. May or may not be explicit; see rating.
